Brent Olund is a Professional Engineer, a Gold Seal Project Manager, and he holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
He has over 23 years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Director, and Division Manager in the construction industry and has completed close to $1B in commercial and residential construction projects across Western Canada including concrete, structural steel, and wood frame structures.
Brent joined Urban One as one of its founding members in order to build a different kind of construction company – one that is focused on innovation and strives for continuous improvement and full accountability. His unwavering commitment to setting the highest ethical standards and creating high performance team environments are at the core of Brent’s leadership style.
Brent strongly believes in the benefits of an integrated design and construction strategy and he is a recognized leader in the field of construction. He has been internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work in the mass timber, high-rise market having overseen the construction of the 18-storey Tallwood House, the tallest mass timber hybrid building in the world in 2017. He volunteers his time and shares wealth of experience
and knowledge with the Canadian Wood Council Wood Building Handbook National Steering Committee, and he is an integral member of the City of Vancouver Mass Timber Advisory Committee.
