Spain is Canada’s seventh destination in the EU for merchandise exports (20th in the world) and the forth-largest economy in the EU.

The EU and Canada signed the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)  which entered into force on September 21, 2017. Spain ratified CETA in 2017.  CETA has eliminates duties (tariff lines) on 98% of products that the EU trades with Canada.
