About Me

Since taking over as Executive Director of the Bluewater Wood Alliance cluster in the fall of 2012, Mike has lead and directed its development from 25 members at that time to 120 member companies today. This included the expansion of the cluster region to include all of Southern Ontario.

Responsible for the management of all strategic projects, partnerships, outreach, business development, delivery of events, and networking best practices between members, Mike also facilitates board governance and provides senior leadership to the organization.

Mike’s   30+ years of industry experience includes the development and facilitation of manufacturing consortium communities throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This is rounded by his experience in public and private sectors in Canada and overseas.

Mike also works as a part-time professor at Georgian College, delivering courses in Business and Administration, Communications, and General Education to all program areas of the college.

Mike has achieved a Masters Degree dual major MBA, and Adult Education from Athabasca University, a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Science and Applied Human Studies from the University of Guelph, and several other certifications including Human Resources Management.
